"TIME TO ROLL OUT MOM!"
This is Hallé who had decided to grab the keys, lock herself inside and hit the keychain panic button and the horn repeatedly when I went inside to grab some more luggage. (Twice!)
I totally adore this kid!
We stopped at Snoqualmie pass spur of the moment
& got out to enjoy the snow...
Ended up being one of the huge highlights of the trip. They were beyond ecstatic to get to throw snow balls at me and make me scream. I'm so glad I pulled over and just enjoyed that 20minutes and didn't worry about the traffic we ended up in. We froze and were so wet and had to strip off pants and socks and boots and blast the heater for the rest of the trip. It was foggy in the air that evening and we were in one of the most gorgeous scenes I'd ever watched them get to take in. They thought it was magical being surrounded by fog and huge mountains and trees and we watched the ski runs behind us. One of my favorite memories with them. I love Washington, it's so diverse and beautiful!! I never realized they'd almost always been either babies, asleep or looking out the window at dark when we'd driven this trip with them. (Hallé loved the part of the drive when we held our breath thru the tunnel)
Woke up the next day~waited for the sun and grabbed our cameras to hit the
GORGEOUS Tulip Festival!
I was reeeally looking forward to this!
Hadn't been since Eden was a baby and she could only sit in front of the red rows of tulips for her pictures!
they wanted to have their group picture in front of the yellow field
Hallé picked PINK!
Eden picked RED & PINK!
And I loved a gazillion other colors and hybrids & fields we saw driving...but a photo opp. is a photo opp. with 2 kids and before the rain hit & turned all this to mud moments later....
SO glad we beat that huge storm.

Lisa spotted this red tulip

Famous waffle cones at the tulip festival
(being enjoyed inside the car.....brrrr!)
Making themselves at home with the Petersons!
(not the same trampoline day that Eden got her back/neck injury & a mild concussion... I didn't see it happen and she can't recall it....Just SO thankful that she is doing better and a lot less sore)
(Thanks Liz for the beautiful Bday flowers...
They made the trip and blessed us for Easter as well!)

~Our Easter Dinner 2010~
YUMMM! We made some good food. I'd like to say that's the first time I passed up most everything else on my plate for three servings of Green Bean Casserole....But I'd be lying. A holiday to me = Loads of green bean casserole and tons of dinner rolls with the butter so thick!
Deni & Hallé
crawling races across the kitchen floor cracking each other up
The little helpers happy to be unwrapping kisses for Lisa's PB/Kiss cookies
There are no pictures of the disaster...but this is post disaster....and I created the disaster~ not the kids! Spilled a cup (or two) and stained the counter grout green in a matter of seconds.
Thank the Lord for Comet with bleach spray.
DECORATING
Do you see these gorgeous sets of eyes I've been blessed
to get to stare into and introduce to the world each day?!!
It's what makes exhausting days worth doing over again.
